Had to Be There
Just a reminder of how awesome these things and people are:
a.) Kelly Hogan
b.) Justin Davis Hughes
c.) Ballard Lessemen
d.) William Joyner
e.) Chris Lopez
f.) Chris Verene
g.) Jeffrey Wiggins
d.) The Rock*A*Teens
If you were lucky enough to live in Atlanta between 1994 and 2001 and saw a show or two, you know you were seeing something truly golden--the kind of thing that can't stay. They even have an album called Golden Time. Now that my insane infatuation with the band leader has passed, I appreciate them even more. Long live Rock*A*Teens. If you've never heard of them, do yourself a favor and pick up any of their albums. I regret not having mine around anymore. Here's a little biopic of them.

Wonderful reminder of what I miss most from Atlanta days, the music. The late 90s period was really special there, too. Thank you for lifting the cloud on my memory for these guys, i remembered crushing quite a bit on Hogan, which is what started my web searching and this post, but had forgotten how much they all rocked.
Happy to give you the happy reminder. And I had my crush on the Lopez. And of course, Hogan. I mean, who doesn't?
Indeed! And now I wish I could go back in time and walk down to the Star Bar. Good memories, thanks for the stirring!
This is a great post thanks for writing it.
