Bake, Bake, Bake
My friend Tina once had the most beautiful dream, one in which she entered a bakery, a beautiful bakery, and found me beaming in an adorable apron making cupcakes. So. I have a bit of an obligation, don't I? The first, of course, is to become an incredible baker with a divine touch for deliciousness. I think this book, Baked, from Brooklyn's Baked Shop, would be an exceptional lifting-off point for my baking career. The images above can all be attributed to the fine establishment's Web site.
Book Lust
Just one, for today. Elizabeth McCracken, the incredibly brilliant and soulful and cantankerous author of The Giant's House and Here's Your Hat, What's Your Hurry, has a new memoir out, titled An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination, chronicling the conception and untimely in utero death of her first son, Pudding. I want to read it up.

Cool, Cool
I love these shirts. I have cottage industry dreams of making all kinds of things and selling them for a living. Until then, I'll be happy just wrapped in the feeling that I have tons of cool friends making all kinds of cool things I can wear and be proud of, and most importantly, look really cool in. It's all that mattahs, you know. Anywho, these supereffingcool shirts are from variously faneffingtastic artists whose wares can all be found on Blood is the New Black site. And these are people I wish were my friends, I think. ( T-Shirts from top-to-bottom: Jesse Spears, Blood Flowers, and Andrea Shear).

I'm so excited about my friends in St. Augustine starting to sell their gorgeous items online. The bright and beautiful jewelry below is handmade with love by a girl who is all bright and all beautiful all the time. Her shop is Twisted Sisters, and she's listed under twistedsistersstaug username in Etsy. Peruse, if you will, the pretty. She's just getting started, so any and all support is way appreciated. Plus, customs are available. Love, love, love, and Happy Monday, Ama.
